Ventura County Sheriff’s Emergency Services and partner agencies are monitoring Tropical Storm Marie as the system moves northwest off the coast of Mexico. Forecast models continue to show significant uncertainty regarding Marie’s eventual track; however, current forecasts do not indicate Marie will make landfall in Southern California.

The most likely scenario for Ventura County is increased humidity, cloud cover, and the possibility of showers or isolated thunderstorms, primarily in mountain areas. Significant rainfall and major river and/or stream flooding are not currently expected. However, residents should be aware that high surf and rip currents will continue to be present through the holiday weekend.
