Dangerously hot and humid conditions will continue across Ventura County through Thursday evening.  An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect, with temperatures generally ranging from the upper 80s along the coast to over 100 degrees in hotter inland areas. Isolated thunderstorms capable of producing lightning, gusty winds, and brief heavy rain remain possible today.  Temperatures are expected to gradually cool Friday and into the weekend.

 A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect for Ventura County beaches through Thursday evening. Elevated surf and a lingering southerly swell will create dangerous rip currents and hazardous swimming conditions. Evening high tides around 7 feet, particularly between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., may produce minor seawater pooling around beaches and harbors and increased beach erosion.
